Time to Break browser extension. Last updated 11 October 2026.
The short version
Time to Break collects nothing. Everything it saves stays in your browser, on your device.
What the extension stores
In the browser's local extension storage, and nowhere else:
- your settings: durations, switches and language;
- your break title and tips;
- a daily count of breaks taken, skipped and snoozed.
What it does not do
- It does not collect, transmit, sell or share any data. It makes no network requests.
- It has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising.
- It does not read or change the pages you visit. Access to all sites is used for one thing: drawing the break screen over the tabs you have open, and removing it when the break ends.
Your data
You can export your statistics as a CSV file from the Stats tab. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored.
Changes
If a future version handles data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released.
